Many surf shops are selling machine-made epoxy boards made overseas as "beginner boards". It is like buying a snowboard from KMart. If you truly want to learn to surf well, buy a "real" board. Look for one that is hand-shaped and designed by a human. All of our new surfboards are made in the USA. Even if you buy a used board, find one that is a the true thing.
